What a tattoo sitting asks
Length is the thing that changes the answer
Most of the appointments this range was built around are measured in minutes. A tattoo sitting is measured in hours, and the area can be anything from a few centimetres to a full sleeve. Two things follow. The first is that a longer booking points towards the upper end of the range rather than the entry strength. The second is that format starts to matter as much as strength — cream and gel for defined areas, spray where the area is broad.
The third thing is not about the product at all. Your artist has a working method, and some will ask you not to bring anything at all. That conversation comes before this page does.

Before you buy: ask your artist first
This is the part most sellers skip. Artists differ, strongly, on whether they want a client to arrive having applied anything — some are relaxed about it, some ask you not to, and a few will end the session over it. They are the ones working on your skin, and they have reasons either way. Ask before you book, not on the day. If the answer is no, that is the answer, and nothing on this page overrides it.

Which strength should I choose for a tattoo appointment?
Go by the length of the booking rather than the design. A long sitting sits at the upper end of the range; a short first piece does not need to. If you're between two, start with the lower one — you can move up next time.
Cream, gel or spray for a tattoo?
Format follows the area, not the strength. Cream is general-purpose, gel is the more precise option on smaller defined areas, and spray covers a broad area such as a limb or a back piece without spreading anything by hand. All three come in all three strengths.
Will my tattoo artist mind?
Some will, some won't, and it is entirely their call. Ask before the day so nobody is surprised — a message when you book is enough. If your artist asks you not to use anything, follow that.
When do I apply it?
Ahead of the appointment, on clean and unbroken skin, as a visible layer that sits on the surface rather than being rubbed in. Follow the product guidance, and your artist's window takes precedence over any general guidance.
Do I need to patch test?
Yes — patch test 24 hours before on the inside of your wrist or behind your ear, and don't use it if you see any reaction.
Can I use it on skin that is already tattooed?
Senseless is applied to clean, unbroken skin. Skin that is broken, healing, or freshly worked on is not what this range is for — the Vitamin A & D ointment is the aftercare product.
Can I get tattoo numbing cream next day?
