Numbing spray
Numbing spray, matched to the appointment.
Three strengths — Clinical, Advanced and Professional — in a spray made for the areas a cream can't cover evenly. Spray is the format for large or awkward-to-reach zones, where applying a layer by hand is slow and uneven. The strength you need depends on the session: how large the area is, how sensitive it is, how demanding the work. Here's how to choose.
During your session
Easy to re-apply during your appointment — many customers tell us they top up with the spray through longer sessions to stay comfortable.
The Senseless Scale
Match your numbing spray to the session
Spray is the format for reach — large or contoured areas you can cover quickly and evenly without working a cream in by hand. Within it, the strength is the choice that matters. None is "better" than another; each is formulated for a different kind of session.

Clinical
Clinical — comfort level on the Senseless Scale, not a measure of strength.
For shorter, lighter sessions and smaller areas.
-
Advanced
Advanced — comfort level on the Senseless Scale, not a measure of strength.
For everyday aesthetic procedures — longer or more sensitive work.
-
Professional
Professional — comfort level on the Senseless Scale, not a measure of strength.
Our practitioner tier — a formula developed specifically for professional use, for the longest and most sustained sessions.
Shorter, routine appointments, smaller areas, and anyone starting out who wants to begin considered.
Longer or more sensitive sessions and larger areas — the one most people settle on for regular aesthetic work.
The longest, most demanding appointments.
Most sessions don't need the practitioner tier. Match it to the session you're actually having — if you're between two, the lighter one is usually the sensible start, and you can choose differently next time.

Is spray the right format?
Spray is the one to reach for on large or awkward-to-reach areas — where spreading an even layer of cream by hand is slow or impractical. Two cases where another format fits better:

What numbing spray is for
Spray suits large or awkward-to-reach areas you can cover quickly and evenly, without working a layer in by hand. The procedures it's most often chosen for:
- Waxing (body)Covers legs, back, bikini and brazilian zones fast and evenly.
- Laser (body)Even coverage across larger treatment areas a cream is slow to spread.
- Large or contoured areasAnywhere spreading a cream by hand is slow or uneven.
- During-session useMany customers report topping the spray up mid-session to help keep an area comfortable — check with your practitioner first.
- Strongest numbing cream
For precise or facial work, gel holds where you place it — and for broad, simpler areas, cream is the default. Match the format to the work.
Built for the procedure, not the average
A generic numbing product handles every situation the same — the same thing for a small touch-up and a large body area. Aesthetic appointments aren't the same, so Senseless isn't built that way. The Senseless System pairs three strengths with three formats, each formulated for what a kind of appointment actually asks for. Spray exists because some areas are too large or awkward to cover well any other way. You choose by the session in front of you, not by whatever's labelled "strongest".
Before you buy: the bit most sellers skip
For a lot of aesthetic procedures, the clinic applies its own numbing as standard. If yours does, you may not need to bring your own — and arriving already prepared without checking can get in the way of the treatment. Self-applied numbing matters most where the practitioner doesn't provide it, or where you want extra preparation on top. A quick message to your practitioner before you book settles it.

Numbing spray — common questions.
When should I use spray instead of cream or gel?
Reach for spray on large or awkward-to-reach areas — where spreading an even layer of cream by hand is slow or impractical. Cream suits broad coverage on simpler areas; gel suits precise facial work; spray suits reach and larger zones.
Which spray strength should I choose?
Match it to the session, not to price. Clinical for shorter, routine appointments and smaller areas; Advanced for longer or more sensitive work and larger areas; Professional for the most demanding sessions. If you're between two, start with the lower one.
Is spray stronger than cream or gel?
Strength isn't set by the format — it's the tier you choose (Clinical, Advanced, Professional), and every format comes in all three. Pick the format for the area: the spray suits larger or broader areas and is easy to re-apply — many customers tell us they top up with it during longer sessions.
How do I apply numbing spray evenly?
Hold it a short, consistent distance from the skin and cover the area in even passes; allow time for it to take effect before your appointment — follow the product guidance and your practitioner.
How much area does one bottle cover?
The 100ml bottle is sized for larger-area and repeat use. How far it goes depends on the size of the area you're covering and how many sessions you're preparing for.
Do I need to patch test?
Yes — patch test 24 hours before on the inside of your wrist or behind your ear, and don't use it if you see any reaction. Follow the product instructions, and check with your practitioner if you have sensitive skin.
Can I re-apply numbing spray during my session?
Many customers report re-applying the spray during a longer session to help extend comfort where their practitioner is happy for them to — its quick, hands-off application makes it easy to top up mid-appointment without disturbing the area. Always check with your practitioner first, as not every procedure allows re-application mid-session.
Can I use numbing spray before body treatments?
Spray suits larger or broader areas — body laser, waxing and similar zones — where its even, hands-off coverage is easier to apply than a cream. For small, precise facial work, many people prefer a cream or gel. Most clinics apply their own numbing as standard, though — so check with your practitioner before your appointment, as they may prefer to prepare the skin themselves.
Is numbing spray a medicine?
No. Senseless is a cosmetic product, UK-formulated and CPSR assessed — no prescription needed.

Each formula is a UK cosmetic formulated by Matrix Health Group Ltd, with the full ingredients (INCI) listed on the pack.
