How long before my appointment do I apply numbing cream?
Many customers tell us they get their best results applying around 45–60 minutes before their appointment, though this varies from person to person. Follow the product guidance and your practitioner. Customers who get on best tend to apply a thick, visible layer that sits on the surface rather than being rubbed in, then cover it (cling film or similar) until it's removed before the appointment.
How long does numbing cream last?
It depends on three things: which strength you use, how well it's applied, and how long and demanding the appointment is. Rather than a fixed number of hours, think of it as fading gradually — apply close enough to your appointment that it's working through the part that matters. Your practitioner can advise for your specific treatment.
Which strength should I choose?

Do I need to patch test?
Yes — patch test 24 hours before on the inside of your wrist or behind your ear, and don't use it if you see any reaction. Take extra care on sensitive or broken skin.
Can I apply it the night before?
No — apply it close to your appointment, not the night before. It's made for the short window before your treatment.
Which size do I need?
10g suits a single session or a trial; 30g is the regular size for repeat use or larger areas. (Professional comes in 30g.)
